The Contracting Committee has the responsibility for negotiating contracts related to Aspen. These may include contracting with PCP-led Accountable Care Organizations, Commercial Managed Care Organizations, Employers and Health Insurance Brokers. These contracts will not include the negotiation of fee-for-service rates, as this is the responsibility of each physician group individually. The committee will conduct its activities and business recognizing Aspen operates with its groups on a non-exclusive basis.

The committee will also be mindful of the current status of Aspen regarding clinical integration to avoid any appearance of anti-competitive activities. The committee will coordinate and cooperate with the Network Management Committee regarding obtaining individual group data from payors (when applicable).

Meeting are typically conducted as necessary and consist of a physician board member as chairman with the remainder of the committee representing a combination of interested physicians and member administrators.
