Improving Care and Lowering Costs Through Clinical Integration

ABout

The Aspen Physician Network is a virtual health system comprising independent specialty physicians committed to improving quality and lowering the cost of care. With that purpose in mind, we support three groups:

  1. Independent specialty physicians wanting to join a network.
  2. Patients who need immediate access to specialty physicians.
  3. Primary care doctors want to refer patients to specialists.

The current healthcare system often creates unnecessary limitations, fragmentation, treatment delays, and higher care costs. Our network bucks that trend through collaboration among care providers, physicians, and facilities.

Collaborative Healthcare Network

Patients and Providers face the same challenges from Opposite Perspectives.

We provide the right care in the right setting, ensuring better outcomes while lowering costs. To achieve this, the Aspen Physician Network brings together specialty physicians, including nephrologists, otolaryngologists, rheumatologists, orthopedics and surgeons under one umbrella to improve care coordination across disciplines.

By fostering collaboration and clinical integration, we streamline care delivery, eliminate redundancies, and ensure patients receive timely, high-quality treatment tailored to their needs.

In today’s world, it is crucial that patients battling chronic illnesses see the right specialists earlier in their care cycle, as early access leads to faster diagnoses, more effective treatment plans, and better long-term outcomes. By uniting talented specialists and prioritizing early intervention, Aspen empowers patients and their doctors to proactively manage conditions, reducing the need for costly, reactive care later.

Healthcare Today

Healthcare specialists influence 80% of spending through decisions on procedures, medications, and care settings. And yet, they are often excluded from early planning in cost-saving models.

When the physician panel is needed, Aspen is available to contract with health plans, Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), Clinical Integrated Networks (CINs), emerging Alternative Payment Models (APMs), employer groups, or health systems. We. want to be the go-to network for specialty care. We make the referral process easier, referring physicians can rest assured that every Aspen Network physician will do what is right for the client in the best setting.

Aspen Concepts

Ultimately, our goal is to improve the delivery of specialty physician care by better organizing independent specialists in a clinically integrated network by this concepts

Aspen Roots and Direction

Aspen was formed by nine specialty physician groups representing more than 320 specialty physicians and an IPA representing small independent specialty groups. As our roots have grown deeper in Dallas, Collin and Tarrant Counties, we are aggressively approaching our goal of having a comprehensive network of specialty physicians throughout the Metroplex.

In the future, we’d love to see that network expand to other parts of Texas and the nation. Stay tuned as we grow our purpose.

Aspen Culture

Independent Group Autonomy

Thirteen specialty practices (and counting) collaborate while maintaining their independence, management, and patient access, with the potential to share administrative tasks and overhead over time. This collaboration may lead to centralization, reducing costs through economies of scale while preserving the autonomy of each group.
